I was Just Thinking … About the books I’ve read this year!

I was reflecting on the number of good books that I have read this year. It had been a very good year for stocking quality books in my personal library! Not all of these books are church based/christian, but will help you be all you can be for Christ! And not all of these books are brand new, it just took me a while to get to some of these. So here is a partial list … The Best of the Best!

1.) The Christian Holman Standard Bible: A must read for anyone wanting accuracy and readability in a Bible.

2.)Crazy Love – Francis Chan: The seriously crazy love God has for us and that we should have for Him.

3.) Sun Stand Still – Steven Furtick: How big is your God? Steven’s God is real big – so should yours.

4.) 7 Practices of Effective Ministry – Andy Stanley: Change your life, change your ministry = changing the world

5.) Overcoming Your Shadow Mission – John Ortberg: Changing my life and ministry. Good deeds and works are not always as good as they seem. Could good be distracting you from better or best?

6.) Making Vision Stick – Andy Stanley: Read it three times so far! Little book with much to teach.

7.)Radical РDavid Platt: Not for the weak and fainthearted Christian! A serious challenge to go deeper and farther with God than you ever dreamed. Everyone should read this book!

8.) Just a Walk Across the Room – Bill Hybels: If you want to be a more effective witness for Jesus, read and use this book.

9.) Six Battles Every Man Must Win – Bill Perskins: So powerful I taught it as a men’s bible study!

10.) Holy Discontent – Bill Hybels: People who change the world have a passion for what they do.

11.) A Dad Shaped hole in my Heart – H. Norman Wright: If you are a parent or grandparent – especially if you have a daughter – please read this book immediately.

Never stop learning and growing!
